I started working on the rear instrument panel and
rear cabanes this week. Using some 1/4" Home Depot plywood (moisture
resistant) I cut the two panels for the rear instrument pod. I then
sheeted it with 1/16" birch aircraft ply. The tricky part was cutting the
sheeting away where the rear cabane would come through. I managed to get
no more than a 1/8" gap all the way around the cabanes.
I also drilled the top fuse longerons for the
cabane flange brackets. |
