I picked up the shock tubes from
the local Piper shop this week. I didn't have the tools needed to pull the
bungee's over the shock tubes. They charged me $75 which was a bit more
than I had expected but at least it's done.
I was then able to bolt up the rest of the landing gear and set the plane up on the wheels! After I had the plane on the gear I did a bit of work on the walking beam and mount. Some of you may have noticed I've slowed down a bit over the past few weeks. It's getting hot here in AZ. It was 107 yesterday. It's just too damn hot to work in the garage during the summer. I only work early in the morning or at night and even then I can only do an hour or so at a time. Hoping to pick up the pace this coming September.
