Built a table today for
constructing the fuselage. I used 2 4x8' sheets of 3/4"
MDF. I ripped them both down to 30" wide and set them end to
end. A 30" x16' table. I then built a simple 2x4 frame
underneath to keep it from flexing. Put the whole assembly on 3 adjustable
sawhorses. Shimmed it to where it's pretty damn level and not
tweaked. As soon as I finish the left elevator half I'm going to begin
laying out the dimensions on the table and begin building the sides.
This is the part I've been looking forward to since the beginning of the project! I'm excited to get the fuselage on the gear with tail feathers mounted!
