Today I cut the gusset plates for the vertical stabilizer. The plans call for 1/16" but I have found a source of good quality inexpensive 1/8" so that's what I have been using. The weight difference will be negligible in the end. I glued and clamped both sides of the plates together at the same time. There were only 4 plates to do so I had enough clamps to do them all at once. After the glue had set I put on the rib strips. Both sides at the same time again. Aside from some minor sanding the vertical is pretty much complete.
