My Grove Aircraft brakes were
installed today.
Grove Aircraft wheels and brakes are of very nice
quality. They are essentially Cleveland clones at a much cheaper price.
My 5x5 wheels and dual piston calipers cost $550. Aircraft Spruce has
them.
It was a simple task to weld the caliper anti-rotation plates supplied with the brake kit to the axle. What's nice with Grove Aircraft brakes is they do not require the wheels to be removed to replace the brake pads. 3 bolts and the entire caliper slides off. Pads can be changed in less than 10 minutes.
