Installed the diagonal braces on
top and bottom of fuselage today. I also put a coat of spar varnish on the
aft section of the fuse. I'm using spar varnish on the fuselage and I'll
be using epoxy varnish on the tail surfaces and wings. Mainly because the
fuselage will have little contact with the fabric and it's easier in my opinion
to use spar varnish.. Where the fabric does touch on the stringers I'll
put a coat of epoxy varnish over it.
I'm hoping to place my order for BS-1088 Marine plywood today. Can't find it locally so I'm having it trucked in :-(
